Provide a unified voice to national, state and local government agencies, organizations, community groups and the general public regarding opinions and positions relative to hospice care philosophy and programs.
ISHPCO Membership
ISHPCO membership is open to all organizations and individuals without discrimination who are interested in the aims and goals of ISHPCO. This includes social workers, the medical community, and others interested in furthering hospice education. There are four membership categories:
Provider members are organizations, which actively provide direct care, either on a voluntary or paid basis. To download the Hospice Membership Application, click here: ISHPCOMemberForm2.pdf.
Associate members are organizations with goals and interests related to hospice philosophy and consistent with ISHPCO goals. Hospice programs in the developmental stages or not actively providing patient care are included in this category.
Individual members endorse the hospice concept and philosophy and are interested in promoting the goals and precepts of ISHPCO throughout Idaho.
Patrons are those individuals or organizations who support ISHPCO by contributing $100 or more annually.

Administration
ISHPCO is governed by a volunteer Board whose officers are elected by the members to serve two-year terms. The organization is staffed by a half-time executive director. To promote greater communication between hospices, member hospices are divided into four regions, each with a representative. ISHPCO is represented on the national level through the Council of States of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
